 Job Description

Responsibilities •Assist the Buyer in category strategies to maximize a specific category. •Supports new product selection of all item set up activities. •Communicates with the vendor community regarding shipments, samples and finalizing details where needed.Productive vendor relationships helpto connect vendors into company processes. •Coordinate all necessary information for the advertising: Participates in advertising; product selection, report generation, and complete documents. Serves as the liaison to marketing, collecting ad samples, ensuring financial documents are completed, communicating vision and approving final copy. •Implements pricing strategies, including manages all aspect of price change execution and credit allowances. •Key contact with field organization. •Manage all aspects of line review. •Manages feature space and all aspects of sign execution. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelors Degree and minimum 1 year previous retail experience in buying or inventory management, store management would be helpful. •Effective verbal and written communication skills. Solid interpersonal skills. •Must have a strong customer service focus and attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills. •Must be organized and able to multi task in a fast paced environment. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of Access helpful.
