Divisional Merchandising Manager
This position will work with various functional areas to develop and source product and train and develop your merchant team. You must have prior merchandising experience with a major retailer, mass merchandising experience and the ability to manage classes with a significant number of SKU's.
Job Requirements
§ Previous experience in position of similar responsibility with another major retailer required
§ Work with design, and planning and distribution.
§ Work with visual department, advertising, and web to present proper product image.
§ Hire, train, and develop support staff of buyers, associate buyers, and assistant buyers.
§ Ensure that pricing, promotional strategies, and marketing support the needs of the customer and the financial objectives of the merchandising division.
Experience and Skills
Ability to develop and empower a team.
A minimum of 5-10 years experience in a DMM and or Sr. Buyer role in either Department or Big Box retail organization.
Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
Highly organized and able to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
Ability to work well with all levels of management, build partnerships, and direct teams.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Degree required.
